Practice Description
Iryna Odynets is an attorney in the firm’s Kyiv office with broad experience in commercial, securities and litigation matters. Her recent work includes:
- Providing legal advice to one of Ukraine’s largest oil companies on the installation of automatic service card systems at petrol station chains
- Legal counsel for an issuance of shares for Foyil Securities in the amount of $150.000
- The acquisition of a logistics company and an environmental services company. She was responsible for drafting agreements, contracts, other official documents, and for negotiations
- The acquisition and lease of office space in Kyiv’s central business district
- Representing the private pension fund “Ukraine – Service” against one of its investors in a suit on investment gains taxation
- Representing corporate and individual clients in various tax disputes
- Representing corporate and individual clients in land disputes, including a land dispute concerning 7.5 hectare for development in Kyiv Region
- Preparing memoranda on IPO procedure and other related matters for the Ukrainian company
- Participating in the founding of a private arbitration institute
Prior to joining Marks Sokolov & Burd, Iryna was an associate with Ukrainian law firms representing clients in the financial, oil and fuels, real estate and food industries.
In 2003, Iryna graduated Kyiv State Academy named by Sagaidachniy. Specialist in Law (with Honors).
Since 2004, Iryna is an attorney licensed in Ukraine.
Iryna is fluent in Italian and English. She is a recipient of Dante Alighieri Fund Certificate (in Italian language and culture, analogue of TOEFL in English).
