Altimo (telecommunication branch of consortium Alfa Group), and the British PR-agency Financial Dynamics employed by Altimo, informs Daily Mail s edition. <br /><br /> Last month Financial Dynamics distributed a letter of the Chairman of Board of Altimo s Directors, Andrey Kosogov, addressed to the Chairman of Board of Directors of Telenor (Altimo s partner in VimpelCom and Ukrainian cellular service provider Kievstar), Harald Norvik. Telenor was accused of  black PR campaign against Russian Holding Company and eavesdropping of confidential conversations and letters. Marks and Sokolov was mentioned in Altimo s documents as a participant in the campaign. The Law Firm accused Altimo and Financial Dynamics of slander. <br /><br /> Altimo s Vice-President, Kirill Babaev confirmed the information regarding the complaint and called it  another step in PR-war against the holding . The Russian Representative Office of Telenor claimed that they knew about the complaint but had no connection to the lawsuit or to Marks and Sokolov. According to an unnamed source of information, the claim was filed in the American court in Philadelphia where law firm Marks and Sokolov is registered. Financial Dynamics refused to comment the situation; Marks & Sokolov promised to respond to Vedomosti s request later. <br /><br /> The conflict between Altimo and Telenor started in 2005 due to disagreements concerning the merger of Kievstar with VimpelCom. Since then that the companies have filed a large number of claims in courts in Russia, Ukraine, USA and some international tribunals. <br /><br /> Marks and Sokolov is an American law firm, which has offices in Moscow and Kiev.
