Novosibirsk, Russia, March 22-24: Attorney Bruce Marks, founder and managing partner of international law firm Marks & Sokolov, presented at the 5th Siberian Legal Forum. The forum took place in Novosibirsk, Russia, and was attended by representatives of 53 companies throughout Russia. The first presentation centered around the experiences of Marks & Sokolov as lead counsel coordinating complex international litigation in arbitrations around the world, and was entitled “Cooperation Between Law Firms in Complex International Litigations and Arbitrations.” The second presentation from Bruce Marks, “Law Firm and its Employees,” gave insight into law firms as organizations, its employees, and the intricacies involved in running a Western law firm, including headhunting and management of human resources. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, U.S. Federal District Courts in Colorado, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C., U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Ninth, Tenth, and D.C.
