Ms. Khan is a litigator with significant trial and appellate experience handling matters for individuals and entities in litigation, arbitration and mediation. Ms. Khan’s practice at Marks & Sokolov is focused on civil litigation, including contractual disputes and commercial litigation matters pending in federal and state courts. In countless complex matters, Ms. Khan has been involved in all phases of litigation including but not limited to conducting discovery, drafting motions, crafting strategies, retaining experts, preparing witnesses, negotiating settlements, preparing for trial and advising clients. Ms. Khan is a versatile attorney and, when needed, has successfully handled non-litigation matters for clients, including corporate matters, immigration matters and a criminal sentencing matter. Moreover, because of her extensive experience, Ms. Khan has served as a mentor for numerous attorneys and paralegals.
Ms. Khan began her career and practiced for many years at an internationally renowned “Top 50” law firm in New York City after graduating from law school in 1993. Since 2007, Ms. Khan has practiced in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Khan received her B.A. from Douglass College, Rutgers University, in 1989 (double major: English and Psychology; plus certificate: Criminology) and her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 1993. Ms. Khan was a member of Rutgers Law Review. In addition, while in law school, Ms. Khan was a member of the Rutgers Environmental Law Clinic.
Ms. Khan is admitted to practice in New York and Pennsylvania.
